Hello my name is Jake and I live in Dalian. Chet and I exchanged some emails back in 2007 but have since fallen out of touch (entirely my fault). Last year I also joined a San Da club so lately I have not had much time for BJJ; yet the art continues to fascinate me and I am thankful for this forum so I might be easier for me to keep in touch now than it has been in the past.

Today was the first day of Third Annual Dalian Martial Arts and Culture Festival. I enjoyed the San Da fights but couldn't help but thinking that the festival was missing something. There were no Shuai Jiao matches (at least not on the first day) and I couldn't help thinking that this might have been a golden opportunity to demonstrate for the public what BJJ is all about. Of course I realize that it is a little late in the game for me to be posting this now, and that you guys are running a business not a public outreach program however keep Dalian and her annual festival in mind in case next year someone comes along who is willing to help make something happen.
